Jacques

Now within me
rise rebellion,
to air the impatience
of my fiery spirit of youth.
Not to settle like most men do.

I sleep with thoughts,
marry thoughts,
dine with thoughts
— of all this world …
its many, many peoples;
about their movement
and manipulation.

Then a sweet-heart
comes along.
Peace once lost
with her returns.

It's love.

A sure acquiescence
of circumstance
— or how otherwise
could it be
with my
conformation.
